How do I send a connection request?

We're so glad you asked! Follow these steps to send connection requests and possibly meet your new best teacher friend:

1. Explore the Empatico community. Our top six recommendations for you are shown as cards. These are classrooms that might be good connections for you based on a variety of characteristics, including class size, location, interests, age, and availability. If none of the suggestions seem like a good fit, click on "View more educators" toward the bottom of the page to get a new set of recommendations.

2. Learn more about your potential connection. When you find a classroom you're interested in, click on "View details" to learn more about them. You'll see their location, availability, class size, and any other details they share on their profile.

3. Send a request. If you'd like to connect with them, click on "Connect". Make sure to write a personalized note letting them know a little bit about you and why you're interested in connecting.

4. Repeat! We recommend sending 5-10 connection requests to make sure you make a successful match. Educators all over the world are always super busy, and not everyone will be able to accept your request.
