My students are just learning Spanish. Can we have an exchange with a Spanish-speaking partner class?

Yes! If students are learning the language, we suggest that you and your partner educator brainstorm how best to support both classes before having an exchange. You can find helpful tips for both you and your partner educator in this article: Using Empatico to practice a new language.

To help ensure that you and your partner educator are on the same page, let them know the level of proficiency your students have, such as beginning, intermediate, or advanced. You can also use the levels in the Common European Framework of References (CEFR), which go from A1 (total beginners) to C2 (proficient and nearly bilingual).
