Can students with physical or learning disabilities participate in Empatico? How does Empatico support students with disabilities?

Empatico activities are designed to be flexible and meet educators’ needs in various settings. The Empatico platform is adapted to support students with disabilities in the following ways:

• Resource for educators of students with disabilities, and their partner teachers, with tips on how to support a positive Empatico experience;
• Video for students that introduces the “what” and “why” behind Empatico before they start their Empatico activities;
• Videos to help educators incorporate sign language throughout the Empatico experience to create an inclusive space for students who are non-verbal or hearing impaired.
